WILDLIFE TOUR ON MULL

Fabulous day with great guide Andrew-generous with his time and knowledge of the stunning island of Mull. Many sightings of the agile hen harrier and watched mother and young otter cub for ages. Red deer, sea eagle obliged with sightings and weren’t to be out done either. Golden eagle napping today but then that’s nature isn’t it?! Would recommend if you are looking for good value for money and lots of tea!
BRILLIANT DAY

My husband and I had a great day with Andrew. He is very knowledgeable about the island, the wildlife on it and where to find it. It isn’t guaranteed that the wildlife will show. They are wild after all. We did see White-tailed and Golden Eagles and were able to go back to places where Otters are regularly seen through the rest of the week.
Well worth doing a trip early in your holiday.

The other reviews are all true; a cracking day was had by our party of 4 and we don’t think could have been beaten. Local knowledge, great humour, personal touches... read more and a passion about nature ensures Andrew catered for all. We managed to see all Eagles, Hen Harriers, Buzzards, Kestrels, waders, deer and the elusive otters too. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would certainly recommend and book again. Thanks for a great day, Andrew

Andrew was just fantastic! After planning a wedding we didn’t have too much time to plan our honeymoon, so had to book when we got to Scotland. He was so... read more accommodating and even picked us up from the ferry so we didn’t have to bring the car onto Mull.
During the trip round Mull, we saw so many eagles (14!!), hen harriers and other birds. Andrew was able to tell us where everything usually stayed, identify birds when they were just a speck in the sky and talked all about the island as well as the wildlife.
We honestly could not have hoped for a better experience or a more welcoming guide. He catered to everyone in the tour, of all ages, and helped everyone to see what he was seeing by pointing things out, taking lots of time with everyone, setting up telescopes and providing binoculars.
We would have loved to spend all week with him if we could, and if you are considering going to Mull then you NEED to spend a day with him!!!

An excellent experience, our 2nd visit in two years. It is a thoroughly enjoyable day out for a very reasonable price. You will see lots of wildlife but... read more what makes these trips special is the host. Andrew is very knowledgeable & friendly, his store of knowledge about the island & its wildlife is enormous. He also has a sense of humour and the atmosphere is relaxed and informal. He goes out of his way to try to ensure you have a good day, including supplying tea/coffee & shortbread while you are out.
He also has a self catering apartment available for rent, which we were lucky enough to stay in this year. It is not enormous but comfortably houses two people. It is spotlessy clean and well equpped, with the most fantastic view from the outside decking area, over the sea to Iona & beyond.
Andrew & Fiona are excellent hosts & ensure that you have all you need. It is a lovely place to stay whether you are taking one of Andrew's tours or not. 10/10 all round.

Andrew was a great guide, amazing how he could spot wildlife with the naked eye when we needed binoculars - and while driving along single track roads!!
He is really... read more aware of the best places to spot the various birds/ mammals generally, although they are not of course totally predictable so some days it works, others it doesn't. He was having a good day when we went inc. white tailed eagles, a female then a male otter, seals, eider ducks and other sea birds, and to top it off a golden eagle soared over an escarpment as we were looking and sat while being mobbed by kestrels. Only thing we missed out on was hen harriers but if we had been on the island longer we would have gone back to look. He also told us about white tailed eagles behind where we were staying, which meant we did spot one there the following afternoon.
Also answered lots of questions about the island generally, including island life and it's challenges but was a great advocate for what an amazing place it is to live.
Fabulous day and we hope to visit again sometime.

The best thing to do on Mull is to spend the the day going round the island with Andrew in his mini bus watching the wildlife. It chucked it down... read more with rain all day but we had fantastic sightings of White tailed eagle, otters in and out of the water and lots more; seals, red deer, fallow deer, curlew, whimbrel, heron, buzzard, hen harrier etc, plus beautiful scenery with excelent mugs of tea. Andrew was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional and I would recommend this day to anyone.
